Hannah's paintings evolve from sketches or
memories, colours, shapes and ideas, carried back from walks on
the downs and coastline.
She then translates them onto canvas. She
loves Cornwall and Devon and this is conveyed in her paintings of
harbours and landscapes in this part of the UK.
She builds up layers of colour with a focus on
markmaking and then colour. Hannah was born and grew up in north
Devon and she regularly revisits the West Country where many of
her harbour scenes are based.
More recently she has been producing
local landscapes of the South Downs and her works of art are
exhibited in many selected galleries throughout the UK.
Prints of her work can be seen for sale in the
department store John Lewis. Hannah has also had many of her
paintings used for greeting cards and open edition prints.
